See a psychologist online via video link, for as long as you need
COVID-19 brought us many changes, for better or worse. It was easy to get despondent about all the changes. But changes also create new opportunities, like seeing a psychologist online. Some people live elsewhere, or for other reasons cannot get to the psychologist's office at Järntorget in Gothenburg. That's why I also offer video therapy. The format forces us to rethink a little, but in general the approach is the same as meeting on site in a shared physical room.
With many providers offering online psychological help, time is limited, both with shorter sessions and in terms of the number of sessions. It is of course possible to carry out work under these conditions, but the limitations also come with a price. Having video calls with a psychologist in private means that you go as long as you want and need.
Psychotherapy via video link follows the same procedure as face-to-face psychotherapy. Benefits, in addition to reduced risk of infection, may include greater freedom to adapt the sessions to their own schedule due to reduced logistics. Some people also feel more comfortable in their own home compared to coming to a psychological clinic. It can also be combined if you can sometimes be seen at the clinic and sometimes need to have the sessions remotely. The calls require you to have a mobile BankID, a computer, phone or tablet, and a working internet connection.
Safety and security
I use a secure video service that is specifically designed for the security factors that psychotherapy requires. All information sent is encrypted, which means a digital environment that mimics the psychology room. This complies with both the GDPR and the Patient Safety Act.
